So this weekend was a hard weekend with many lessons learned...I can't believe how people could be so rude!
Many of you have heard that I lost one part of my tent....see, we have a 3-dome tent and when I set up the tent Wed. around 3 pm and went back out Thurs. morning to drop off some of our supplies at 930 am, it was already gone...come to find out the people that were in my camping spot said they set up their tent Wed. at 530...so in 2 1/2 hours my tent grew legs and ran away! I don't know if the people in my spot had taken it, or if someone else took it, but we found the stakes, and still have the rain fly. So all I need is the tent with the poles...so my goal is to contact the makers of the tent and tell them what happened and see if I can order those pieces...b/c right now I have 2 pieces to a full 3-piece puzzle (tent).
Also, I was supposed to have a friend join us Friday morning into Saturday; split the cost of the campsite and bring half of the food for the time we were both their. She was to bring her husband and 2 daughters so it was easy to split food and costs....well, she never showed up. I don't know why I didn't get a phone call, text, or even why she didn't ride down there and tell me what was happening. I just hope everything is ok with her. She was just as excited as I was and last I spoke with her, everything was ok...so I don't know what happened?! However, she left us without anything to eat for lunch, so we had to drive 20 min. to get fast food, b/c i didn't pack anything extra for food (snacks, but not a whole meal) and then left us with half of breakfast! I am really irritated, but hoping everything's ok and an emergency didn't come up, b/c I haven't been able to get a hold of her since we returned yesterday!
So, after a 2-day camping trip not far from home....I'm really irritated with people who can't be trusted! I can't believe people would have time to stand you up and not send notice of some kind and that you would steal someone's tent at a camping location! you generally trust people when you leave your campsite to go somewhere! GRRRRR!
